Other than BT Basic, it’s Direct Hi-Tech Connections, without a doubt. There are only two providers in the UK willing to offer telephone line only deals (BT and Direct Hi-Tech Connections), with BT being substantially more expensive.
Broadband Internet is a term that’s used for a high-speed internet connection; a method of receiving and sending data. Broadband Internet is available through multiple technology types, including cable, fiber optics, Wireless Fidelity (WiFi) and DSL – all of which enable you to get connected on multiple devices. Home broadband wireless internet broadband connection cabled to your home and converted into WiFi through a wireless router.
With Direct Hi-Tech Connections, you can have a fully functioning landline for as little as £17.50 per month if you are able to pay a year in advance. If you can only pay monthly, then it’s £17.99 per month.
We will do all the work for you, including contacting your current provider and requesting your transfer of service. You will receive our new customer welcome pack, outlining your service, pricing and next steps. During the transfer you will be contacted by your current provider as well. Ultimately, we hope your bills decrease and your customer experience increases!
Since the overwhelming majority of people want a broadband service at home (and most of those come with a landline anyway), there is no longer much demand for a landline-only service. Plus, with many broadband and phone packages costing the same or less than landline-only packages, there is not much point.
At the time of writing, it is £23.05 for a pay-as you-go deal with BT.
